What We Do
Montana For Palestine works for the liberation of all people, from Palestine to Montana, through education, divestment campaigns, fundraising, political advocacy, and direct action.
What We Want
Montana For Palestine envisions the following:
A Palestine liberated from Zionist colonization, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, with equal rights for all people, in alignment with the Palestinian Thawabit (see below)
The return of Montana to its Indigenous inhabitants and their descendants
The end of all systems of settler colonial, capitalist, and white supremacist domination, and the redirection of resources to housing, healthcare, education, and infrastructure
The Palestinian Thawabit ('the constants' or 'fundamental principles')
The right to resistance
The right to self-determination (statehood)
Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine
And the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and lands in what is today Israel (in accordance with United Nations General Assembly Resolution 194)
Land Acknowledgement and Commitment to Indigenous Solidarity Everywhere
We recognize that capitalism, land exploitation, and settler-colonialism are closely intertwined, as the American State, like the Israeli State, was built on stolen Indigenous land. We recognize the clear role of Indigenous oppression in serving the interests of state-building and capitalism, as demonstrated time and time again. We believe that Indigenous land rights and self-determination are a crucial aspect of justice not only in Palestine, but here in Montana as well. For these reasons, we are committed to standing with the Indigenous peoples of Montana and pledge to support their struggles as best as we can.
